Flashover

Once the building was burned a "flashover" was caught on video. Simultaneous ignition of combustible materials in a closed space, as when materials simultaneously reach their fire point. This is a very dangerous fire event that can kill or trap firefighter very quickly

Rapid Intervention Team/Forcible Entry

Early 2008 Firefighters from the Bourbon Fire Protection District and Leasburg Vol FD participated in a traing in an aquired structure. Here the firefighters have cut downward along the window to make the room accesible all the way to the floor in the event of a trapped firefighter or victim unable to be removed from the window. This operation was completed in less than 3 min.

Rollover at the ceiling. Very short video

Filmed from the exterior of the building, you can see the rollover of fire at the ceiling. Building was used for Forcible Entry and Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) training prior to burning the dwelling for owner clearing the property
